Alpha CHECKPOINT’s Drug-Free Workplace Compliance Training is a fully web-based delivery system for employee and supervisor drug and alcohol awareness training.  Training supervisors is an integral part of every drug-free workplace program whether it be Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated or non-DOT based.  Our online programs are geared towards enhancing supervisor/management skills by training supervisors in drug and alcohol abuse awareness and will help them to identify, document and address employee performance problems that could be an indication of an employee's drug and alcohol related problems.  Employee awareness training provides tools for a safer, more secure and productive work environment.

Web-based program fulfills the Department of Transportation's Federally mandated reasonable suspicion training for supervisors and employee educational materials: 

§382.603 Training for supervisors:    Each employer shall ensure that all persons designated to supervise drivers receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and receive at least an additional 60 minutes of training on controlled substances use. The training will be used by the supervisors to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a driver to undergo testing under §382.307. The training shall include the physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances. §382.601 Required content for employee educational materials:  (b)(11) Information concerning the effects of alcohol and controlled substances use on an individual's health, work, and personal life; signs and symptoms of an alcohol or a controlled substances problem (the driver's or a co-worker's); and available methods of intervening when an alcohol or a controlled substances problem is suspected, including confrontation, referral to any employee assistance program and or referral to management.

Drug-Free Workplace Compliance Training:

Supervisor Training (Approx. 2 hours)

Employee Awareness Training: Provides employees with a basic understanding of the problems associated with drug and alcohol use and the impact of that use on the workplace. Employees learn when to say “When” and why to say “No.”
The Supervisor’s Role: Focuses on how supervisors can improve the productivity of their employees. It educates supervisors about key management skills that can help employees modify, or change, their behavior so they can become more successful at work.
Drug Testing: Teaches employees and supervisors about the drug testing process, from specimen collection through the medical review of results.

Alcohol Testing: Trains employees and supervisors about the alcohol testing process and the role of the substance abuse professional in counseling.
