Alpha CHECKPOINT of Rochester, Inc. has significant experience in the field of workplace anti-substance abuse policy design, program management, testing and related services.  We are experienced with the implementation of policies and testing according to Department of Transportation (DOT) federal regulations, as well as policies for non-DOT regulated companies. 

 

                          Please note: 

All drugs-of-abuse test specimens are collected using a documented chain of custody form - no self-collections are allowed per NYS regulations.

 

We provide drug and alcohol collections/testing for the following situations:

Types of drug testing services:

 

  • Urine

 DOT:  5 panel test includes screening for marijuana (THC), phencyclidine (PCP), amphetamines, opiates, and cocaine.

 

non-DOT:  10 panel test includes screening for amphetamines, barbiturates, cocaine, propoxyphene, benzodiazepines, marijuana, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, and PCP.

 

  • Breath alcohol

 

  • Oral fluid testing (saliva)

 

  • Hair

Hair testing can test up to the previous 90 days (or longer) of drug use and is very resistant to evasion by the drug user.  This type of test is excellent in identifying the chronic drug user during pre-placement or in monitoring an individual's drug use.  Hair testing is a cost-effective and reliable choice for parents who are trying to determine if their child is using drugs. 

 

  • Zero tolerance testing levels are available.

 

 

Other services available:

  • Physicals:  DOT and non-DOT.

 

  • Policy development:  We can write and     implement a customized drug and alcohol corporate policy or review any existing policy for completeness.

 

  • Program management:  We can provide complete management of drug and alcohol testing programs.  Our random testing software program provides computer-generated picks.
